The mission of Agricultural Services Certified Organic, LLC is to provide quality, express and
economical organic service as established by NOP in the areas of; crop production, handlers,
processors, livestock and wild crops that meets the individualized needs of our clients in the
global market for sustainable agriculture.

Recognizing the need for the organic farming industry to have an alternative to current
Organic Certifiers, three former members of the Monterey County Agricultural Commissioners
Office representing over 96 years of experience in regulatory agriculture formed ASCO.
They include the former Agricultural Commissioner, Chief Deputy and a Deputy
Agricultural Commissioner.
 
We were the official voice of Monterey County Agriculture for many years and as such gained
knowledge and recognition representing the nationís largest vegetable crop producing
county. Monterey County has ranked as the 3rd largest agricultural county in the nation.

We played a major role in the development of the California Organic Food Act which was
used a model in the forming of the National Organic Program. Our experience in regulatory
agricultural and our knowledge of the workings of state and national agricultural
organizations provides a basis for interpreting and implementing complex regulations
and policies required of an organic certifier.
